OPERATIONAL ACTIVITY IN DETECTING THE CRIMINAL OFFENCE OF ‘’HUMAN TRAFFICKING’’

On May 3, 2023, police officers of the Foča Police Administration arrested the person, whose initials are K.D., place of residence - Sarajevo, based on suspicion that they committed the criminal offence of ‘’Human Trafficking’’.
Through operational and field activity and inspection of video surveillance, police officers of the Foča Crime Police Administration noticed that six people got out of the vehicle "VW Golf V" driven by K.D. and headed into the nearby forest from the place of traffic accident. By performing field work and inspection in Šukovac, municipality of Foča, police officers found six persons of Afro-Asian origin, who did not have any documents, and who were suspected of the illegal entry on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The competent prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina was informed about the situation. Therefore, the prosecutor ordered that all measures and actions had to be taken in order to document the criminal offence of "Human Trafficking", after which the criminal processing of the K.D. from Sarajevo was performed at the premises of the Foča Police Administration.
The persons found were handed over to the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, Field Office in Istočno Sarajevo for further processing.
