EMERGENT STAFF MEETING OF THE MINISTER OF THE INTERIOR

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, held an Emergent Staff Meeting regarding the implementation of the conclusions of yesterday’s First Emergent Session of the Republic of Srpska Government, which are within the competence of the Ministry of the Interior.

The Meeting was attended by the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, and the Heads of the operational administrations of the Ministry Headquarters.

They analysed the issues related to the tragic events occurred in Serbia, and to the Republic of Srpska, as well as activities of the Ministry of the Interior in that field.  

At the conference, they reached a conclusion on the formation of a working group that would create an effective action plan and would be in charge of its implementation. The Action Plan would cover the activities of police officers in schools, but also activities related to the control of possession and carrying of weapons.

The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior urges the citizens to report information on possible situations that could become security threats in order to respond in a timely manner. This information can be reported by calling the telephone number ’’122’’ or at the police station.

A successful prevention can be accomplished only through the joint coordinated action with competent institutions, as well as parents and students.
