POLICE DIRECTOR KOSTREŠEVIĆ ATTENDING THE CONFERENCE ‘SUPPORT TO COUNTERING SERIOUS CRIME IN THE WESTERN BALKANS’ IN ROME

The Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, is attending the conference of IPA 2019 regional project ‘Support to countering serious crime in the Western Balkans’, in Rome, Italy. At the conference, several important project points were presented, such as project results and proposals for further building of institutional capacities and the manners of cooperation with law enforcement agencies in EU countries and international partners.     

Director Kostrešević expressed his gratitude for the support that the regional project IPA 2019 provided to the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior in the field of strengthening the fight against organised crime and cooperation in countering organised crime, fight against terrorism and violent extremism, border safety and migration management, since all these aspects represent high priorities in the perspective of enlargement of EU in the Western Balkans.

Regional project IPA 2019 ‘Support to countering serious crime in the Western Balkans’ is a three-year project that officially started on 1 July 2020, intended for the jurisdictions of the Western Balkans, was financed by the European Union, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany and the Ministry of the Interior of Italy with the total budget of €17,915,000.
