THE MINISTER OF THE INTERIOR HELD A STAFF MEETING IN PRIJEDOR

            The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior is undertaking the planned measures and activities with the purpose of maintaining favorable security situation, having in mind the particularities of the period of the year, including the increased number of citizens from abroad, heavy traffic, increased number of guests in cafes and restaurants and a large number of different events. The citizens have at their disposal the free phone number 122 which is available 24/7, as well as patrolling police officers. These were the conclusions of the staff meeting of the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, which was held in Prijedor.

            Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, heads of operational administrations, the head of Prijedor Police Administration, Mr Dragan Milojica, also attended the staff meeting. They discussed the security situation on the territory of the Republic of Srpska, and Prijedor Police Administration, which were evaluated as good.

            The Head of Prijedor PS presented the activities this Administration had carried out in the field of dismantling organized criminal groups and countering organized crime, with particular emphasis on preventing drug abuse. He also informed the participants that the project of establishing the video surveillance system on the territory of the City of Prijedor was in its final stage, pointing out that the system would significantly improve the public order and peace, traffic security and situation regarding crime.

            It was concluded to continue the activities regarding the prevention and detection of cybercrime and abuse of children in the digital era, and countering drug abuse.

            Finally, the participants referred to the Secondary School of Internal Affairs, and they used the opportunity to invite all the students who meet the requirements, to apply for enrollment in the Secondary School of Internal Affairs.
