THE PROMOTION OF THE 24TH CLASS OF THE POLICE ACADEMY AND 10TH CLASS OF THE SPECIAL ANTI-TERRORIST UNIT

The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior held the ceremonial promotion of the 24th class of the Police Academy and the 10th class of the Special Anti-Terrorist unit at the Training Centre. 

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, said that 170 cadets of the 24th class of the Police Academy and the 10th class of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit would become the part of new young police force of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior since August 1, 2023.

He pointed out that they would face numerous challenges and obligations, and that they were expected to use their knowledge acquired at the Police Academy in practice and thus contribute to the protection of the safety of citizens and their property and the constitutional order of the Republic of Srpska.

Minister Karan said that the police responded highly actively and professionally to all tasks and that the security situation in Srpska was satisfactory and that conditions had been created for successful training of the police and their further efficient work with the great assistance of the institutions of Srpska.

He pointed out that the MoI had been intensively working on rejuvenating the police force over the years, which was also recognized by the citizens of Srpska.

The President of the Republic of Srpska National Assembly, Mr Nenad Stevandić, congratulated to the cadets and their families on this great success, emphasising that the Republic of Srpska would last as long as young people preserve its traditions and values.

"These young people have chosen not only to protect their country, but to stay in their Republic of Srpska and start a family and continue to protect and build it," he pointed out.

Mr Milan Bogdan, a cadet of the 24th class of the Police Academy, said that police work was honourable, that it was not only repressive, but that police also had the opportunity to help people. "All young people who want to help their country and people should apply for the Police Academy and the Secondary School of Internal Affairs,” Bogdan said.
