Around 600 members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior will participate in the voluntary blood donation campaign that will be organized on the entire territory of the Republic of Srpska from 24 to 28 July 2023.

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, stated that it was a great thing to save someone’s life, and expressed his pride of the humanity and ethics of the police officers and the current voluntary blood donation campaign.

’I would like to thank all the participants from the bottom of my heart for their personal gesture, benevolence for the Republic of Srpska, and for their sense and need to help others‘, said Karan on the premises of the Blood Transfusion Institute of the Republic of Srpska, where he visited the Police Academy cadets and other members of the Ministry who donated blood.

‘The traditional blood donation campaign organized in cooperation with the management and the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior would provide the doses and blood reserves that are absolutely necessary during the summer period‘, said Ms Gordana Guzijan, the Director of the Blood Transfusion Institute of the Republic of Srpska. She stated that the needs for blood were particularly increased due to the summer holidays and higher number of traffic accidents.

The Republic of Srpska Police Academy cadets told the media that the greatest motive for their participation in the campaign was the fact that the blood they donated could save someone’s life.
