THE MINISTER AND DIRECTOR WELCOMED THE STUDENTS OF THE 9TH GENERATION OF THE HIGH SCHOOL OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, and Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, welcomed today the students of the 9th generation of the High School of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, thus continuing the tradition of police education after 22 years.

Minister Karan pointed out that the day was great not just for the Ministry, but for the whole Republic of Srpska, since the High School of Internal Affairs was re-established. Thus, a systemic solution was found and a permanent and long term form for education for the future members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior.

‘High School of the Interior was established on 4 April 1992, and it was a beginning of fighting for freedom and the Republic of Srpska. Today, we can say that this is a symbolic manner of realizing that freedom. One of your primary tasks as police officers will be maintaining the constitutional order of the Republic of Srpska, since that is the only way to protect all other rights of the citizens of the Republic of Srpska, as well’, the Minister said.

He reminded that the students would have a specific manner of life within the boarding school within the Training Centre. Therefore, they would have time identify their personal values, but also to identify them with the values cherished within the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior.

The Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, said that he was proud to had had the opportunity to be one of the people who returned the educational cycle within the Ministry and re-established the High School of Internal Affairs.

‘That is the only correct way to build quality future for the Republic of Srpska Police’, Police Director said.

In this school year, the total number of 165 students, who came from all over the Republic of Srpska, enrolled the third grade of the High School of Internal Affairs.

The headquarters of the high school is within the Training Centre in Zalužani, and the Boarding school is also situated there.
