ALL MEASURES UNDERTAKEN IN ORDER TO INVESTIGATE EVERY DETAIL OF THE MURDER

The Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, said that the police would undertake absolutely all steps to investigate every detail related to the murder of the police officer, Nenad Marković, in Bijeljina.

‘Every circumstance related to this event will be investigated and no person involved in the commission of this criminal offence in any way will be freed from responsibility. No detail of the event will be left unchecked’, Kostrešević said to the journalists in front of Bijeljina Police Administration.

He expressed his condolences to the family of the police officer who was murdered.

The head of Bijeljina Police Administration, Mr Stjepan Terzić, said that the previous night, at 23.57, it was reported to Bijeljina Police Administration that one person was seriously injured in front of the ‘Jil’ night club.

‘Upon visiting the crime scene, we managed to confirm all the allegations from the report and confirmed that the police officer N.M. was seriously injured and transported to hospital for the provision of medical assistance. The prosecutor was also immediately informed and by his order, we initiated the investigation’, Mr Terzić said.

He also confirmed the information that four persons related to the commission of the criminal offence were arrested, and that the investigation continued.
