REMEMBERING THE FALLEN MEMBERS OF THE SPECIAL POLICE BRIGADE

On occasion of April 4th, the date of establishing the Special Police Brigade in 1992, the Republic of Srpska President, Mr Milorad Dodik, the President of the Republic of Srpska National Assembly, Mr Nenad Stevandić, the Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, the Commander of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit, Mr Goran Balaban and the veterans of the Special Police Brigade visited the Memorial Room at SAU where they laid wreaths at the memorial monument to the fallen members of the Special Police and lit a candle in remembrance of their fellow police officers who were killed in the war.
               The Special Police Brigade was established on April 4, 1992 and its main purpose was maintaining public peace and order, eliminating terrorist groups and participating in the Homeland Defence War.
