The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, visited today the police stations in Novi Grad, Kostajnica and Kozarska Dubica, where they and the management of Prijedor Police Administration and commanders of police stations, discussed the security situation in the area and assessed it as satisfactory.
It was concluded that the number of criminal offences and violations of public order and peace had reduced and that the cooperation with the members of the Border Police of BIH had been improved.
Additionally, Minister Karan and Director Kostrešević discussed with the management of Prijedor Police Administration the undertaking of the planned measures for providing security on the occasion of marking the 79th anniversary of the breakthrough of the prisoners of the Jasenovac concentration camp and commemorating the fallen victims that is supposed to be held in May at Donja Gradina Memorial Zone.
Minister ordered the analysis of traffic road communication and alternative travel directions to be implemented together with the representatives of local community, with the aim of avoiding traffic jam that occurred the previous year.
