The operational cooperation of the Police of Austria and the Republic of Srpska Police is successful, according to the assessment of the Director of the Federal Police of Austria, Mr Michael Takach and the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević.
As a part of his visit to the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, the Director of the Federal Police of Austria, Mr Michael Takach, also discussed with Director Kostrešević the issues related to the migrant crisis and people smuggling.
They agreed that illegal migration was a serious issue for every country, and that in that sense, it was necessary to strengthen joint activities in the field of prevention of migrant crisis, having in mind that intensified inflow of migrants was expected in future.
Director of the Federal Police of Austria expressed his interest in education and professional training of police officers of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, so he also visited the Training Center in Zalužani and its facilities, such as Administration for Police Training, which consists of the Police Academy and the High School of Internal Affairs, among other organisational units.
