OPENING OF THE ”POLICE SPORTS DAY 2024”

     The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, opened today on the premises of the Training Centre in Zalužani the ”Police Sports Day” – sport games of the members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior. He pointed out that this outstanding event presented the strength of the RS MoI.
     He added that the participants of the Police Sports Day represented the youth and the future of the RS MoI and promoted the unity and mutual trust among its members.
     The Minister wished success in the competition to all the participants and said that the event was more than just sports. ”This is internal strength and growth”, Minister Karan added.
    The President of the Worker Union of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska, Ms Anica Jondić, said that the Union organized the Police Sports Day together with the RS MoI.
    ”We are particularly pleased with the fact that this year we have our youngest colleagues, the students of the High School of Internal Affairs”, said Jondić.
    She added that the Police Sports Day is a sports competition, but that the participants mostly appreciate the fact that all organizational units of the Ministry are gathered together in one place.
     The High School of Internal Affairs student, Nikolina Gnjatić, stated that it was her honor and privilege to participate in the 17th sport games of the RS MoI members.
The event was organized as a part of celebrating the Republic of Srpska Police Day.
     Around 600 employees of the Ministry from all parts of the Republic of Srpska are competing in six disciplines – shooting, judo, futsal, 3x3 basketball, volleyball and cross country running.
      The Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, also attended the opening.
