POLICE ACADEMY AND SAU CADETS TOOK A SOLEMN OATH

Cadets of the 25th class of the Police Academy and the 11th class of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior took the solemn oath today in Zalužani, during the promotion attended by the Republic of Srpska officials.
251 Police Academy cadets and 10 SAU cadets took the oath, and they were awarded the certificates on the completed police training and the decision on appointment in the service.
Minister Karan awarded certificates of achievement, decisions on appointment and hand watches with engraved dedication to the cadets Miloš Mijić, Davor Miljić and Srđan Mitrović for the extraordinary results and conduct achieved during the training.
The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, said that the new generation of the Ministry members will rejuvenate the police force with the young patriots who will follow in the steps of their predecessors who greatly contributed to the perseverance of Srpska.
Congratulating the cadets on their employment with the Republic of Srpska Police, Minister Karan said that they should be prepared for numerous challenges and obligations, that they are expected to apply the knowledge they acquired at the Police Academy, thus contributing to the protection of security of the citizens and their property and the constitutional order of the Republic of Srpska.
Head of the Administration for Police Education of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, Mr Mile Šikman, said that police education was the foundation of each police profession.
”Regardless of your gender, status, religion or political beliefs, you will have to perform your duties and tasks, to be humane and righteous and that is surely the way to develop the citizens’ trust”, Šikman said.
The Republic of Srpska Prime Minister, Mr Radovan Višković, said that the event was a historic day for the Republic of Srpska, since it never happened before that so many cadets were promoted in one day. He added that the Republic of Srpska fought for its existence, and told the cadets that they now become the reflection of Srpska.
Miloš Mijić, one of the cadets of the 25th class of Police Academy said that he decided for this occupation because it is honourable and dignified, and it required certain order, work and discipline. ”First of all, we are here to preserve the Constitution and constitutional order, and our citizens and their rights and freedoms”, Mijić said.
Davor Miljić, another cadet of the 25th class of Police Academy said that it was an enormous responsibility to be a part of the RS MoI, that the nine months of training were hard and that he would start his employment in the Laktaši Police Station.
