TWO MEMBERS OF AN ORGANISED CRIMINAL GROUP ARRESTED WITHIN THE OPERATION ‘KINGS’

Based on international information exchange with EUROPOL, in cooperation with the police officers from Trebinje PA and SIPA BIH, and under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of BIH, the police officers of the Administration for Organised and Serious Crime of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior realised the operation whose code name is ‘KINGS’. The operation is focused on documenting criminal offences of ‘Organised crime’ from Article 250 of BIH Criminal Code, related to the criminal offence of ‘Giving presents and other forms of gain’ from Article 218 of BIH CC, ‘Illegal trafficking of excise products’ from Article 210 of BIH CC, and ‘Illegal trade’ from Article 212 of BIH CC; and ‘Abuse of office’ from Article 220 of BIH CC, ‘Accepting gifts and other forms of gain’ from Article 217 of BIH CC, and ‘Disclosure of classified information’ from Article 164 of BIH CC.
Members of EUROPOL also participated in the realisation of the operation on the field. Residential buildings and vehicles used by the suspects were searched on seven locations on the territories of the town of Trebinje, Berkovići, Posušje, Stolac and Grude. On that occasion, one passenger vehicle was seized, as well as large number of mobile phones, SIM card holders, planners, laptops, digital media holders and official documents.
As a part of these activities, an I.B. and a B.M. were arrested in Grude and in Trebinje, respectively, whereas more persons are still being searched for.
Under the supervision of the acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BIH, the police officers of the Administration for organised and serious crime of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior are continuing their intense investigation.
