SEVERAL PERSONS APPREHENDED FOR VIOLENT BEHAVIOUR

The police officers of the Police Administration, under the monitoring of the acting prosecutor of the District Prosecutor’s Office Banja Luka, are undertaking measures and activities in documenting the criminal offences of Violent Behavior and Damaging and Taking Another’s Belongings. Several persons related to these events have been apprehended.
Last night, around midnight, in one café shop in Kralja Petra I Karađorđevića St. several unknown persons physically attacked the fans of the football club ”Ferencváros” from Hungary. According to the currently available information, three persons were injured and there was substantial damage to the café. Additionally, in Omladinska St. in Banja Luka, unknown persons used physical force and several objects to damage one Mercedes bus.
The injured persons received medical assistance at the University-Clinical Centre of the Republic of Srpska.
The Police Administration Banja Luka in cooperation with other organizational units of the Ministry of the Interior, is undertaking the planned measures and activities in securing the football match of the qualifications for the UEFA Europa League which is played this evening at 9 p.m. at the City Stadium in Banja Luka between the Football Club ”Borac” Banja Luka and Football Club ”Ferencváros” from Hungary. Accordingly, it shall be forbidden to serve alcohol in hospitality facilities near the City Stadium.
We would like to invite the citizens and all those who plan to attend this sport event, to act responsibly and with dignity and to contribute to a peaceful match without any incidents. We point out that each and every illegal activity will be punished.
