THE MANAGEMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR VISITED THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, and the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, are in the official visit to the Russian Federation, where they met with the management of the Main Administration of the Ministry of the Internal Affairs of Russia for the City of Moscow, with which the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior signed the Memorandum of Cooperation in 2015.
At the meeting, organised at the headquarters of the Main Administration, the cooperation of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior with the Main Administration of the Ministry of the Internal Affairs of Russia for the City of Moscow was assessed as favourable, but the conclusion was that it should be intensified through trainings and exchange of experience, practice, and equipment.
‘This is a precious experience for us, since Moscow is a very safe city, and it is useful to observe all possibilities of maintaining full security of a city like this, with the population of several million. We are very small compared to Moscow, but we implement the same processes for the Republic of Srpska and all our citizens to be safe’, Minister Karan said.
Minister Karan and Director Kostrešević were introduced to the manner of functioning of the Situation Centre, which is actually a commanding-operational centre developed for the needs of the Football World Cup, and nowadays, it is used as the Centre for managing the video surveillance of the City of Moscow.
Additionally, they visited the First Specialised Regiment within which there are the Tourist Police of the City of Moscow, Cavalry and the police forces for securing events and public assemblies in the City of Moscow.
