FOUNDATION STONE OF THE NEW ŠIPOVO POLICE STATION BUILDING LAID

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, and the Šipovo municipal mayor, Mr Milan Kovač, laid today the foundation stone of the new Šipovo Police Station building.

”This is one of our most important projects, for one simple reason – the safety of our local communities is our top priority”, said Minister Karan.

According to his statement, the security situation on the territory of Šipovo is favorable. The total rate of solved cases in Šipovo municipality is 93%, and the citizens feel that they live in a completely safe place, which is especially important from the aspect of development of tourism development in this municipality.

 He added that the dynamics of the "Safe City" project would be intensified in the municipality of Šipovo, since it had very good results.

 The mayor of the Šipovo municipality, Mr Milan Kovač, thanked Minister Karan and the Republic of Srpska Government, for recognizing the problem and creating better conditions for the functioning of this local community.

 "The building that we demolished was 60 years old and was no longer functional.” He pointed out that the municipality would get a new building with a size of 745 m2, which would provide conditions for better functioning of the local community and police officers, since the police represents the foundation and the main pillar in the functioning of each society.

 The laying of the foundation stone was attended by the director of the Republic of Srpska Police, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, the head of the Mrkonjić Grad Police Administration, Mr Milan Milekić and the commander of the Šipovo Police Station, Mr Milovan Bubnjević.
