The Head of Department for International Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, Mr Sanjin Šakić, chaired the 24th General Assembly of the Southeast European Law Enforcement Centre (SELEC) where the 25th anniversary of existence and activities of this law enforcement international organisation was also marked. The organisation gathers resources and the expertise of police and customs authorities joined in countering the more efficient cross-border organised crime in the region. Yesterday, in its reaction to the statement of the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers, and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA) did not dispute the fact that they do not have legal basis for remote issuing of electronic certificates or in a cloud, for creating ‘BIH e-identity’ and that they do not own the personal data they process.
